Absolutely brilliant.... easy parking, disabled access, and eye catching from the moment you walk in, walked into a model cat walk exhibition of recycled clothes, sat next to a flattened orchestra which i usually would have thought to be boring, but looking closely you can see fantastic faces and pictures, lines, in the metals. Then onto the art n different exhibitions. Will DEFINITELY return.
Most exhibitions were closed sadly in January. But anyway Margate is beautiful and it is great that they have a contemporary art museum there. I try to be back there in the summer next time. The installation by Cornelia Parker was nice
We visit the Turner Contemporary regularly. There is always something interesting to see and the view of the harbour from the coffee shop is great. It's a lovely place to visit in winter.
I'm not much of a connoisseur of art so it's difficult for me to review the art exhibited. Overall it was a nice quick stop on a walk along the coastline.After a stroll through the exhibition we got ourselves a cup of tea in the cafe. Nice view on the beach!
It's always worth a look in here. I do feel that it's quite minimalistic regarding the displays in such big rooms. Like a lot of things where modern art is concerned some of it is very childlike. There are some good things. It gives us a laugh so we go mainly for that.
